Buttes-Charmont is kind of a crazy 19th century romatic vision of what a park should be. It was built on the remnants of an abandoned quarry, its namesake hills, reclaimed slag heaps. I suppose it's quite an improvement. I love the neo-classical architecture and the uniterrupted vistas afforded by these hills. |
